Beulah Cathedral came into existence some 75 years ago in the city of Atlanta.  In the 1940's Bishop J.M. Haywood established Beulah and  was pastor for only a short time prior to being sent to pastor Christ Temple Cathedral Church in Chicago, IL, and preside over the Northern Diocese.  It was after this that Elder W.S. Kilgore became Pastor.

The church fell into disrepair due to disagreements among the brethren and the illness of Elder Kilgore. In 1967 Elder Kilgore stepped aside as pastor of the church.  During that time of being without a pastor, several worked to keep the church together.

In 1969 Bishop O.W. McInnis, the presiding Bishop at the time, assigned Victor P. Smith as pastor of Beulah.  It was after his arrival in November 1969 that the church once again started growing.  As the membership increased, it became apparent that Beulah would need to relocate; and in 1975 we moved to our present location.  Much has happened to us over the past 30 years.  Elder Smith became Bishop of the Diocese in 1989.  In 1996 he took a sabbatical from pastoring for a seven year period to concentrate on growing the Southeastern Diocese.

Elder DeAndre Turnipseed was assigned as Interim Pastor of Beulah, a position he held for more than one year.  In our efforts to select a pastor, Bishop Smith recommended Dr. Clifton Montgomery as a possible candidate.  Elder Montgomery accepted the call to pastor Beulah in July 1997.  Much was accomplished under his leadership.  Several ministries were added, the level of giving increased, the beautification of the church was upgraded and much more.  Elder Montgomery accepted a call to another church in October 2002.

Bishop Smith returned to the leadership of the church in January 2003.

We look forward to the future with great anticipation that God is going to move us to new levels of blessings as we allow HIM to use us in bringing men and women into HIS Kindom.
